  • Schedule and Roster
    • If you did not attend the meeting or haven't provided the coordinator your schedule for the 2018 season yet, please do so as soon as possible. The age division coordinators will be entering the games into the system over the next couple of weeks.
  • Rules
    • Coaches are responsible for knowing the rules, especially the new rules called out below. We first go by local rules adopted and documented on this site for each age division. Anything not referenced there defers to the PONY rulebook. Anything not referenced in either of those places defers to MLB rules.
  • Score entering
    • Coaches/coordinators will be responsible for entering their own scores after games. We technically ask the winning team to enter the score, but if you notice a score for your game hasn't been entered yet please feel free to do so. Community coordinators have IDs and passwords for each community to use at masonpony.org to do this.
  • 8U Kid Pitch age cutoff date
    • All players playing 8U kid pitch this spring must have birthdates on or after 9/1/09. Boys playing 10U baseball must have birthdates on or after 5/1/07.
  • Bats
    • All bats used this year must either have a USA Bat stamp or be BBCOR -3 certified. Coaches and umpires should line up all bats at the start of the game and remove illegal bats from the dugout. If a players is caught using an illegal bat once the game has started, both he and the head coach of that team will be ejected for the remainder of that game and will be suspended for the following game.
  • Pitch Count
    • We will be following PONY's national institution of MLB Pitch Smart guidelines:
      • No one can pitch three consecutive days, no matter how many pitches were thrown
      • In this chart, 1 day = you pitched Tuesday, your 1 day of rest is Wednesday, you can pitch again Thursday
      • Coaches need to be able to show documentation of the number of pitches their players have thrown, and when. A pitching log sheet will be available online for printing. Please get the opposing coach or the umpires signature on the pitch counts for your players at the end of the game,
